Full Moon summons from the chest
That Wolf-Heart which knows no rest,
Teeth barred against the world of men,
Howls devotion to Night and then
Runs, rampant, to the Moon,
Grasping Her, and to a wild tune
Dances with Moon and Night,
Till the fading of Her spectral light.
This was partly inspired by Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse, which everyone ought to read.
